Who We Are
This website is operated by Child Safe ME ("we", "us", or "our"). We are an international child safeguarding consultancy founded by Maryam Ehsani, providing consulting, training, policy development, and advisory services worldwide.

What Data We Collect
When you use our contact form, you provide your name, email address, and message content. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and to follow up on potential consulting or speaking engagements. We do not add you to a mailing list without your explicit consent.
We use Umami, privacy-focused analytics software that we host ourselves, to count visits and see which pages are read. It does not set cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you. It records only aggregate, non-identifying information: the page viewed, the country it was viewed from, the referring site, and the general type of device and browser. It does not store your IP address, and we cannot identify an individual visitor from it. Because no cookies are set and no personal data is stored, this site needs no cookie consent banner.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies. Our analytics software does not set cookies either. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party marketing tools, and we do not share browsing data with advertisers.
How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiries submitted through the contact form
- To understand how our website is used and to improve its content and performance
- To comply with legal obligations where applicable
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Legal Basis for Processing
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your data on the following legal bases:
- Consent — when you voluntarily submit your contact details through our form
- Legitimate interests — to understand in aggregate how this website is used, so we can improve it. This is limited to cookieless, non-identifying analytics, which we consider a minimal intrusion on your privacy
- Legal obligation — where we are required by law to retain or disclose information
Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained for as long as necessary to complete the enquiry and any resulting business relationship, after which they are deleted.
Third-Party Services
Three third-party services process data on our behalf:
- Amazon Web Services (privacy notice) — hosts and delivers this website (Amazon S3 and CloudFront). Like any web host, it processes technical request data, including your IP address, in order to deliver each page. We do not use this data to identify visitors.
- Railway (privacy policy) — hosts, on servers in the EU, the Umami analytics software described above, which we run ourselves. Railway therefore processes the aggregate page-view data it records, never your contact details. Umami's developers receive no data from this website.
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) — relays our contact and speaking enquiry forms to our inbox. It receives whatever you type into those forms.
If we add or change a service that processes visitor data, this section is updated before the change goes live.
Your Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict the processing of your data
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

International Data Transfers
Our website is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the EU (London, eu-west-2). Contact form submissions are processed within the same region.
Children's Privacy
Our website and services are directed at organisations and professionals, not at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised date below.
